A huge thank you to the Dominican Sisters of St Joseph for a wonderful introductory session on discovering the vocation of the catechist! The sisters helped us understand what a catechist is, drawing on the story of Philip and the Eunuch in Acts 8, before explaining how we can use the Catechism as a tool in our mission of passing on the faith to others.
As well as parishioners from Holy Cross, people joined from across the Diocese, and we were fed by a delicious tomato soup from Fr Benedict, described by one enthusiastic attendee as the best he has ever tasted…!
For anyone interested in further opportunities to learn more about catechesis or online training, the sisters are offering a FREE COURSE this December, consisting of three Saturday mornings online.
